Position Overview

The Vice President, International Business will lead the company’s global commercial expansion strategy across international markets.

This individual will oversee international commercial operations, distributor network management, strategic partnerships, and cross-functional coordination to drive sustainable overseas business growth. The role requires both strategic vision and hands-on execution capability within complex international markets.

The position will also serve as the senior leader overseeing the existing international business structure and team.


Key Responsibilities

International Growth Strategy

  • Develop and execute the company’s overall international business strategy
  • Identify new growth opportunities and drive revenue expansion beyond the current overseas business scale
  • Establish market entry and commercialization strategies tailored to different regional dynamics
  • Support the company’s long-term globalization and international commercialization objectives

Commercial Operations & Distributor Management

  • Lead and optimize international distributor networks and channel management strategies
  • Strengthen overseas commercial operations, sales management, and regional execution capabilities
  • Drive market penetration and sustainable business growth across priority international markets
  • Build scalable processes and operational frameworks for international business expansion

Business Development & Strategic Partnerships

  • Lead or support international licensing, partnership, and regional collaboration opportunities
  • Develop relationships with key external stakeholders, strategic partners, and industry networks
  • Evaluate potential business expansion, partnership, and investment opportunities

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Collaborate closely with regulatory affairs, supply chain, manufacturing, marketing, and medical teams to ensure successful project execution
  • Build and strengthen organizational capabilities within the international business division
  • Provide strategic market insights and recommendations to senior management


Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Business, or related disciplines
  • 15+ years of experience within the pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical industry
  • Strong international business and overseas commercialization experience
  • Proven experience managing distributor-driven business models
  • Candidates may come from backgrounds including:
  • International business leadership within Chinese pharmaceutical companies
  • Multinational pharmaceutical companies with international market responsibilities
  • International business development leadership
  • Investment, strategic advisory, or healthcare investment backgrounds with strong exposure to pharma globalization
  • Strong strategic thinking, commercial acumen, and stakeholder management capabilities
  • Ability to operate effectively in cross-cultural and highly dynamic environments
  • Fluent in both English and Chinese
