We are currently seeking an Associate Director, Medical Affairs for a leading South Korean biopharmaceutical company with a strong presence in Asia-Pacific markets. This pivotal role requires effective collaboration with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders to drive medical strategy and support product development and commercialization. The successful candidate will oversee medical affairs activities, including clinical trial design, medical communications, and regulatory support. The role is critical in ensuring that the company's products meet the highest medical and scientific standards while contributing to the company's growth and innovation in the region.

Reporting to: General Manager

Location: South Korea

The role:

  • Medical Strategy Leadership: Lead the development and implementation of medical strategies and tactics in Korea, aligning with company business objectives, and fostering partnerships with healthcare professionals, government officers, and medical societies.

  • Regulatory Compliance & Pharmacovigilance: Ensure compliance with local and global regulations, including serving as the local Responsible Person for Pharmacovigilance, managing the Risk Management Program, and maintaining high ethical standards.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with headquarters' medical affairs team and other affiliates, providing medical insights and education to cross-functional teams, and supporting early access programs and scientific engagement.

  • People & Organization Development: Establish and lead local medical and PV functions, ensuring proper resource allocation, budget management, and organizational growth as the company expands.

  • Documentation & SOP Management: Develop and update medical and PV SOPs aligned with headquarters' policies, ensure proper documentation, and support other international markets as needed.

The experience:

  • Bachelors degree in pharmacy/MD or relevant.
  • Ideally a licensed pharmacist or physician license in Korea.

  • Ideally with 4+ years of experience in medical affairs and/or PV
