Main Duties & Responsibilities
Reporting to the Procurement Director, they are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Indirect Procurement Manager to lead the category management strategies and optimize the procurement function.
You will be responsible for developing and executing procurement strategies, managing supplier relationships, and driving cost savings across various indirect spend categories. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership abilities and a proven track record in procurement management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Sourcing and Category Management: Develop and implement comprehensive multi-year procurement strategies for indirect spend categories, including, but not limited to, IT Infrastructure including Managed Services, Network Hardware, Mobile Communications etc
- Tactical Procurement Process Management: You will spearhead and manage the end-to-end procurement process including RFPs, RFIs, internal Purchase Requisitions etc
- Supplier Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, ensuring optimal performance, cost-effectiveness, and risk mitigation.
- Cost Optimization: Identify and drive cost-saving initiatives, negotiate favorable terms, and manage procurement budgets effectively.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with internal stakeholders to understand business needs, align procurement strategies, and ensure seamless execution of procurement activities.
- Market Analysis: Conduct market research and analysis to stay abreast of industry trends, emerging suppliers, and best practices in indirect procurement.
- Contract Management: Oversee contract negotiations, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements while securing the best value for the organization.
- Performance Metrics: Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of procurement activities and drive continuous improvement.
- Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of procurement professionals, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and innovation.
Candidate Profile
Our ideal candidate will be one who has most of the below criteria:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field; MBA or relevant professional certification (e.g., CPM, CPSM) preferred.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in indirect procurement, with a proven track record of managing complex procurement functions and achieving cost savings.
- Strong negotiation, contract management, and supplier relationship management skills.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Proficiency in procurement software and tools, as well as Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with e-procurement software/ platforms preferred e.g. Oracle, Ariba, Coupa etc
