Job Title

Revenue Manager

Key Responsibilities

This role directly reports to the Senior Revenue Manager. This role will be responsible for recruiting, developing, mentoring and training the Revenue Specialist team. This is to ensure that they are well-informed and knowledgeable of the Firms policies and procedures, and that all revenue-related issues are addressed professionally and on a timely basis.

Business Partnering & Technical Skills

  • Develop strong working relationships and support all partners in the region.
  • Provide management reports and summaries.
  • Host meetings with local members of the Billing and Collections Committee to keep them informed of regional progress on billing and cash collections, staffing or regulatory issues and any other relevant information.
  • Host monthly WIP/AR meetings to establish latest positions on all inventory.
  • Provide technical expertise and direct support, especially for any complex billing arrangements.
  • Continuously review Target Cash (or other WIP/AR tracking tool).
  • Identify inventory for write-off and host write-off process with the Billing & Collections committee.

Personnel Management

  • Pro-actively recruit, train, develop, manage and mentor the Revenue team.
  • Review work allocations amongst staff.
  • Support cross-training and new skill development within the team.
  • Work with leadership team to develop standardized training program to include best practices for producing bills, firm software (3E, BillBlast, Bill Templates, ARCS, Target Cash, Intapp Open and Iridium) and various soft skills.
  • Handle all aspects of employee performance and provide timely feedback.

Finance

  • Work with cash receipts team.
  • Monitor client account (where applicable) to ensure monies earmarked for bills are transferred in accordance with local regulations.
  • Ensure compliance and report any known and/or potential breaches.
  • Liase with externalvendors to ensure accurate and statutorily compliant billing & collections processes.
  • Review and adjust (if required) the billing and collection procedures regularly for improved efficiency.
  • Ensure the team are keeping accurate and complete billing records to assist with annual audits.
  • Pro-actively work with regional and global Billing and Collections committee members during the year-end collections efforts.
  • Ensure accuracy and timeliness for all billing information within the system.
  • Ensure all Asia offices bill templates are kept up to date and in line with local requirements.
  • Assist with the annual billing rate review ensuring all rate changes happening within the year/new Financial Year are correct.

Education and Experience

  • Polytechnic Diploma or Degree in Accountancy, Business Finance or related discipline (or an equivalent professional qualification).
  • At least 8 years relevant experience, preferably in a law firm or professional services environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Familiarity with Elite 3E is a plus.
  • Familiar with general accounting principles and local taxation rules.
  • Strong organizational skills, an ability to prioritize and great attention to detail.
  • Abiility to complete simultaneous projects with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to think critically and analytically, and exhibit sound judgment.
  • Effective interpersonal and team management skills.
  • Demonstrate written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work well under pressure.
