Senior Facilities Chemical Engineer (Global Project, Semiconductor Wafer Foundry)
The Senior Facilities Chemical Engineer will lead the technical management and optimization of chemical and slurry systems across manufacturing sites globally. This role involves overseeing the design, construction, operation, and maintenance of facility systems while aligning projects with global standards. Partnering with the Global Facilities Central Engineering Team, this position will focus on key initiatives to enhance system reliability, streamline operations, and ensure project success through expert engineering support.
Responsibilities,
- Project Leadership & Engineering Support
- Manage the design and construction of regional projects to ensure adherence to global standards.
- Provide engineering expertise for site-specific projects, including sustainability efforts and technology transfers.
- Oversee prioritization of capex for facility reliability improvements, with a focus on high-impact outcomes.
- System Reliability & Process Enhancement
- Drive improvements in system reliability, quality, and equipment lifecycle management.
- Align with global initiatives and apply regional insights to shape strategic programs and quality standards.
- Provide engineering support for significant projects and contribute insights from regional lessons learned.
- Communication & Cross-functional Collaboration
- Serve as the regional point of contact for coordinating with central engineering teams.
- Standardize metrics reporting and ensure consistent communication of project status and KPIs.
- Work with multiple departments to ensure best practices in chemical system operations.
- Technical Expertise in Chemical & Slurry Systems
- Provide in-depth technical support for chemical and slurry systems, including on-site assistance for critical issues.
- Lead cross-functional teams to drive improvements in operational and maintenance practices, creating network-wide Best Known Methods (BKMs).
- Collaborate with OEMs to enhance system design and reliability.
- Continuous Improvement & Cost Management
- Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives across the regional network.
- Support Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) programs, standardize PM and predictive maintenance, and minimize operational variation.
- Drive training and certification initiatives to maintain high competency and ensure consistency across sites.
Requirements,
- Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 8 years in Facility Engineering, with a focus on chemical systems.
- Strong project management skills with experience in reliability and process improvement.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills to coordinate with cross-functional, multicultural teams.
- Demonstrated customer-focused approach and problem-solving capabilities in a dynamic environment.
- Previous involvement in global facility engineering and knowledge of construction project processes within manufacturing.
