Reporting Manager: Plant Site Leader
Team size: 2 direct reports (200 indirect reports)
Location: Thailand
The role:
- Manage the production operations, ensuring strict adherence to company policies and regulatory standards (ISO13485/ISO9001/FDA).
- Review production orders and plans, ensuring the production of qualified products within the set schedule. Monitor quality checks and address any quality issues.
- Analyze production reports, lead variance analysis, and implement effective corrective actions. Promote lean manufacturing principles, such as Kaizen and Value Stream Mapping (VSM), to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and control labor hours.
- Oversee equipment management and maintenance, providing technical support to ensure the production plan is met. Encourage the Production Engineering (PE) team to maintain equipment properly.
- Manage labor and work environment, lead 5S and EHS activities, and ensure proper training and motivation of the production team. Facilitate skill development to ensure workers are qualified for their roles. Communicate and coordinate with other departments and participate in management reviews.
The experience:
- Degree in Engineering (or equivalent)
- Ideally 5 years in a medical device manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of Lean manufacturing
- Familiar with corrective action deployment & Failure & Root Cause analysis.
- Knowledge on ISO 13485, FDA 21CFR and cGMP
